Dr. Shweta Solanki

Shweta is a Disability Expert working with special needs children families for the last 15 years. She started her career as an Occupational Therapist and went on to work as Consultant – Rehabilitation Therapist along with numerous projects involving Drug De-addiction Programme, Mental Health and CBR Programme focusing on disability which reaches-out to the challenged in their homes.

Shweta has laid down her mission very clearly and this is what she speaks for her life –

“From my childhood, I have been touched by the problems of challenged people, blind or mute individuals and would pester my parents in regard to their means and ability to access the very basics of livelihood – the ‘where’ and ‘how’ in every stage of their lives.

As I went through school and encountered other children who were slow or challenged, ultimately, decided the vocation of my life. To dedicate my life to the betterment of the lives of the challenged and extend full support to research and advances in this specific area of medical intervention.

I chose to work at the grass-root level – the first point of contact and my beneficiaries would always come first in my life beyond the demands of society, religion, personal life – ‘Inclusion’ of people with disability a ‘mission’ for life.”
